Book description or synopsis:
Melissa has a secret. She accidentally killed someone. Only a few friends who were there know.
Melissa moves away and makes new friends to try and forget the past. On the anniversary of the
accident, Roger wants revenge and decides to hunt Melissa down. He finds her at a place called the
Marsh. She’s there with her new boyfriend Brian and friends. Roger goes on a killing spree on his way
to get to Melissa. He doesn’t plan on her ex-boyfriend John showing up and neither does Brian. John
and Brian are jealous of each other. Can they get along just long enough to save Melissa or will their
jealousy cost Melissa her life?

Author Bio:
I am a single parent of a toddler. My son and I love to travel, take walks, run, and hang out. I am also a
college student attending Terra Community College. I will be graduating with an Associates of Art in
Behavioral Science in 2008. My hobbies include running, writing, swimming, and traveling. I love to
write. I have three books published, all thrillers. Wallet of Death, The Digby Lake Killer, and Secret
Past. I am currently working on another thriller titled County Road 13.
I am a member of ANN, Authors of Novels and Narratives, a writer’s group in Fostoria. I am also a
member of the International Writer’s Association. In October 2007 I worked with some local author to
organize the Autumn Book Festival in Fostoria. I will again be working to organize the 2008 Autumn
Book Festival which we are hoping will be bigger and better than the first.

An idyllic descriptive opening pulls the reader in and sets the stage
for many intriguing scenes to follow, while slowly but respectfully
introducing you to the book’s two possible main identifiable
characters. Flowing conversations and interesting paragraphs do
make for good reading but for a thriller it takes a while to build
momentum, which creates a danger of losing interest.
But at the end of the chapter momentum regains, and the reader is
definitely left with a sense of wonderment to find out what happens
next.

It starts out a bit slow but soon we find that something is about to
happen, something pretty scarey that Bill will have a hand in. The
dialog was interesting leading me on down that path of anger
building. All in all, look forward to finding out what creepy thing
happens.Great beginning!

In Chapter 1 of Naomi Chapman’s thriller, “Secret Past”, we meet
forty-years married Rhonda and Bill Glenn, who walk, twice daily, in
The Marsh - a nature reserve-like place. That Rhonda loves the
route while Bill hates it raises questions for the reader. Will
something or someone scare Rhonda off her preferred route? Will
Bill be able to defend Rhonda, whom he really loves, if she is
attacked by a crazy person jumping out of the trees? Why does Bill
alone hear noises in The Marsh? Will he bring Rhonda there one
day to kill her and throw her body in the water, where no one will
find it?
